Terry Bello is a multifaceted media entrepreneur and known for founding the International Soul Music Summit & Film Festival, the 25-year veteran of radio, film, music, media and grass event marketing. National audiences have heard his now legendary voice as passengers on Delta Airlines, on TV at BET and as the host of nationally syndicated radio program The Soul Lounge that aired in 40 markets including Los Angeles and Dallas. Terry has helped to promote and facilitate the careers of many emerging R&B, jazz, Top 40, neo soul and world artists.
Bello’s Multi-Media Personality and Programming career has found him located in Atlanta, New York, London, Paris, Nairobi, Philadelphia, LA, Detroit and Cleveland where he was named Music Director of the Year by Billboard magazine in 2006. His peers have described Bello as a PD/MD in an A&R person’s body. He traverses equally between corporate radio and the vast world of underground music. A consummate professional who demonstrates consistent achievement in broadcast Management, music consultation, event production, project management and various entrepreneurial endeavors that has demonstrated a dynamic ability to develop and manage major cultural events.

Bello aka “The Voice of Soul” hails out of Brooklyn, NY by the way of Birmingham, Al. Bello has been doing radio since he was 16 years old and has done every position in radio from on-air from promotions to MD to PD to Sales. He attended Morehouse College then transfer to NYU where he studied music production and radio communications at The Center for Media Arts; he also studied Law for one year at Emory University. Bello is the oldest of four Brothers plus one sister and has six Godchildren. Bello’s biggest victory to date has been a Cancer Survivor for the last six years and going very strong. When Bello’s not doing radio or one of his many entrepreneur ventures, he loves spending time with family and good friends plus mentoring the next generation of music lovers and radio broadcasters.
Terry’s parents are both from Birmingham Alabama and in the 8th grade he moved to Birmingham where he would finish from Holy Family High School and the prepping started for his radio career at the Heritage WENN 107.7 radio station. This will be the first time that Bello can be heard in the Magic City in over a decade since working at WTUG while doing Mornings and also part-time on air work at Cox Media stations Jamz and KISS.
