Jay-Z opened his Yankee Stadium concert series with a performance centered on the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt, his 1996 debut album. Billboard documented the opening-night setlist, which included songs from several stages of his career.
The show revisited key tracks from Reasonable Doubt while also making room for later hits that expanded Jay-Z’s audience beyond New York. The set offered a broad view of his catalog, connecting his early recordings with songs that became major commercial successes.
Several guest appearances added to the celebration. Beyoncé joined him for Can’t Knock the Hustle, while Blue Ivy Carter appeared on piano during Feelin’ It. Nas, Alicia Keys, Jaz-O, and Memphis Bleek also took part in the concert.
The opening night combined anniversary material, familiar collaborations, and some of Jay-Z’s best-known songs. It also reflected his long relationship with New York and the role the city has played throughout his career.
